About

Dahi and band 5Dahí Jim, known at his mother’s table as David Clune, is a qualified and highly experienced performance professional. His credentials include a 2.1 BA (Hon) in Drama Performance from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin and a critically acclaimed debut album, Shine, which was independently released at the end of 2013.

Colm O’Hare from Hot Press Magazine remarked the ‘lyrical potency’ found in the songs, while Ally Daly from GoldenPlec.com was equally impressed, stating that ‘(Shine) is Dahí- Jim and The Adelaide Band’s first gift to the music world…upbeat vibes and positivity radiates from it’. Both reviews are to be found in full on this site.

Since the launch of ‘Shine’, Dahí had a great start to 2014 with two highly successful residencies in Dublin, starting in KC Peaches from January to March and another in The Millstone Restaurant from March to June, both on Dame Street in Dublin. After this, he was invited to play all three days of the Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, co.Laois and in September Dahí moved to London. So far he has had a very successful run of gigs to promote ‘Shine’ in venues such as the Alley Cat in Soho and Lock17 in Camden.

Turning his attention in 2015 to playwriting, Dahí has been accepted by former Head of New Writing at the National Theatre, John Burgess, to attend his intimate weekly course in central London from September 2015.
